2005 Cabreo, La Pietra, Tuscany, Italy, Toscana IGT
The grapes used for this wine have grown in Panzano, the region of La Greve in Chianti and have matured in oak barrels.
The vineyards are situated at an altitude of 450m.
‘La Pietra’ is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes that have been harvested manually in September. After a soft pressing of the grapes the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (50% new barrels and 50% one year old barrels), after which the wine matures at least 6 months on the bottle.
Due to the specific production, this wine is very refined and delicate without compromising its strength. The bright golden color reveals a rich, intense and complex bouquet. In the mouth this wine is velvety and harmonious.
