2020 Nielluccio, Domaine la Cendrillon, Languedoc-Roussillon, France, IGP Pays d'Oc
The Domaine de La Cendrillon is located near Narbonne and begins its history in the middle of the 18th century when it becomes the property of the Joyeux family around 1750.
In the early 2000s, Robert Joyeux launched a very large renovation program, commensurate with his ambitions: producing fine and elegant wines that express the complexity and variety of soils. Convinced that every great wine comes from a living and preserved environment, the estate has been converted to organic farming and obtained ECOCERT certification in 2013.
The planting of "exotic" grape varieties (Albarinho, Verdejo) and the extension of the winery allow vinification where each parcel can express its originality. The diversity of terroirs and grape varieties (Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Cinsault, but also Merlot, Marselan or Petit Manseng) allows the Cellar Master to have an exceptional palette of colours and aromas.
This is their first wine without added sulphites, made from the Nielluccio grape (the Corsican name for Sangiovese). This confidential wine (only 3000 bottles) is a great success, it's fresh, fruity, well balanced and very elegant. A natural wine as we like them!
