SAAM is Afrikaans for 'together'. The name captures the essence of the team and their attitude towards viticulture at Eensaamheid Farm. Located at the foot of Perdeberg Mountain range, SAAM unites a group of 40 South African growers who farm vineyards that span the premium growing areas from Paarl to the Durbanville Hills.
In addition to 3000ha of vineyards SAAM also looks after 1000ha of wetlands, sandy and mountainous areas. These are home to many protected rare species of flora and fauna. The farmers here are also members of South Africa’s Biodiversity program.
This wine is made from Chenin Blanc, which is a popular white grape to grow in South Africa due to the quality delivered in this climate.
