Dopff Irion and is one of the most famous and ancient wine producers in the Alsace region.
LES SORCIERES refers to the part of the estates of Chateau de Riquewihr planted with Gewurztraminer. According to a local legend, this was a place where witches and women of ill-repute used to be burnt.
Only manual harvesting.
Vinification: maceration after destemming with temperature control during 10 to 15 days after a slight heating of the juice. Matured on inox barrels during 9 months before bottling and storage of 9 months to 24 months in bottle before marketing according to the vintage.
