2010 Cuvée des Trois Cyprès, Domaine La Garrigue, Rhône, France, Vacqueyras
Domaine La Garrigue is located in the heart of the appellation of Vacqueyras (South Cotes du Rhone), in the Vaucluse. It is located ateu 2.5 km from the village, on the plateau of Garrigues.
The area was established in 1850 and has been operated by the family for 6 generations. The Bernard family has always worked with respect for tradition, in order to produce authentic and natural wines in their vineyards.
The vineyards are located on three different soil types: clay-limestone soils with stones (40%), soil with clay on the slopes and terraces (40%) and sandy soils (20%).
The harvest is done manually and requires a workforce of thirty pickers. It takes about one month. The wines are aged in tank for minimum 18 months. The wines are neither filtered nor clarified.
