2024 Saam Long, Domaines P, Bordeaux, France, Vin de France
Domaines P. is the wine entity developed by the Perrodo family, bringing together several estates in Margaux: Labégorce, Marquis d’Alesme, and La Tour de Mons. Under the leadership of Nathalie Perrodo, with a team directed by Marjolaine de Coninck, the estate is developing a vision that goes beyond the classic great red wines of the Médoc.
Saam Long is a perfect illustration of this ambition: a project launched in the mid-2010s, with vines planted from 2017 onwards across 1.5 hectares of terroir composed of ancient alluvial soils with limestone outcrops. Vinification takes place in small temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by ageing in stainless steel vats and barrels previously used for first and second wines.
This wine reflects a true author-driven philosophy: to produce an atypical, refined, and contemporary white wine in Margaux.
