2012 Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Olivier & Lafont, Côtes-du-Rhône, France, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
The Maison Olivier & Lafont was founded in 2011 by Gerald Lafont and Baptiste OLIVIER. Gerald and Baptiste express through their wines the combination of tradition and modernity, with deep wines but also greedy and fruity. “We are making pleasure wine for consumers” they say. The wines are selections made in the prestigious wineries they advise and where original and sometimes surprising blends arise.
The Maison produces the range Olivier & Lafont. Through this range, they produce precise, elegant and delicious wines, wines of intense pleasure, reminiscent of the delicacy and sweetness of ripe fruit with suave sensations.
This wine is produced from grapes coming from a blend of various soils with sand and pebbles. The Grenache Blanc vines are 40 years old, the Clairette blanc vines are 30 years old. All varieties are vinificated already blended. Vinification in stainless concrete tanks and on dregs.
