This Gavi di Gavi is produced by the Azienda Morgassi in the province of Allesandrai in Piemonte. This wine only contains one grape variety, the Cortese. The yearly production is limited to 40 000 bottles. The 14 Ha domain belongs to the family Piacitelli.
Cortese is an Italian grape variety most famously used in the production of the crisp, lime-scented wines of Gavi. The grape is known for its bracingly high acidity and its ability to retain freshness, even when grown in hot environments.
