A bit of history !
If we look way back, the caves of the Bastion find its origin in a fortress surrounded by walls with an 8m-thickness, from which the name the original owners reveals : Chanson Père et Fils. The fort was built in the 16th century and the domain nowadays includes 27ha of wineyards for the Premier Crus. The 27ha wineyards are spread over the 10 best climates of the region where Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grow. This domain was bought by Bollinger in 1999 and the quality and specificity of the Bastion wines have improved considerably since then.
