It's around 1900 that Maurice Delaille buys "le Salvard" estate located in the municipality of Fougères sur Bièvre. He modernized the estate and replanting vines. His son Gilbert and his wife Lise took later the estate over.
Over the years, the farm grows from 10 hectares of vines in 1965 to 30 hectares in 1993, for now reaching 40 hectares. The young "bosses" Emmanuel and Thierry, are the 5th generation that continue working with passionate love and maintain this knowledge.
A few years ago, the Domaine du Salvard has a modern winery with air conditioning. This is a plus for wine making and practice for sustainable farming!
