2016 Clos des Mouches, Domaine Chanson, Burgundy, France, Beaune 1er Cru AOC
Located in the south of Beaune, above Pommard, this is one of Burgundy's gems that certainly reach the level of a Grand Cru. It's excellently situated on the south-eastern slopes of Mont Saint-Désiré, adjacent to the Premiers Crus of Pommard.
The name of this "clos" doesn't come from the flies, but from the bees that were called honey flies in those days.
